Effects of hyperhidrosis can be seen in hands, armpits, and feet. Don’t get me wrong, sweating can feel really good sometimes, think when you’re on a long run or finally getting the hang of your new boxing combination! But nothing is more frustrating than unintended sweat.

A lot of us suffer and get embarrassed by the same. Generally, it’s not the sweat that smells but the bacteria that feed on this sweat. So, how to permanently get rid of this insufferable smell? The answer is in your own house and in your diet. Though most of us are concerned with sweat coming from the armpits, there are other places too. Sweating hands and feet stink too.

Following the below effective ways and keeping a healthy diet will not only solve your sweat problem but also make you feel more confident about yourself. Here we cover the pain points and ways to get rid of these situations.

Sweaty Armpits And Ways To Get Rid Of Underarm Sweat

The Internet is currently flooded with stop sweating products and ways to get rid of that smell. But have you noticed that most of them are leaving you at aww?

We know the struggle! So we have come forward to share with you our little secrets about armpit sweat. You will notice the difference this time!  Ways you can stop underarm sweat and that boo are as follows-

1. Maintain Personal Hygiene:

You must have heard this advice a thousand times by now and you probably want a different tactic to tackle your odor problem. But taking care of your personal hygiene and shower routines will benefit you a ton in preventing smelling armpits.

Despite using products for hyperhidrosis, if you don’t maintain cleanliness, you might not get results. Use warm water to shower and ideally shower twice a day. Do not forget to take a shower after a workout session and always make sure to use fresh and clean towels.

2. Use Antiperspirants: Products for Hyperhidrosis

This is the quickest way to get rid of underarm sweat and odor. The gel in these products prevents sweat glands from releasing sweat to the skin surface. Without coming in the way of the body’s natural defense, antiperspirants can easily help you bid bye to embarrassing moments. Make sure you use the best antiperspirant for excessive sweating, or your hard-earned money can go to waste.

3. Wear Loose Cotton Clothes:

We all have heard about how cotton is the best material to wear when you are sweating. But is it really true? Studies have shown that it has a better capacity to absorb sweat and odors as compared to polyester and synthetic clothing. Body odor grows more on synthetic textiles. Thus, wearing cotton and other breathable materials will not only let your skin breathe but will also help you to keep your sweat at bay.

4. Shave Underarm Hair:

Bacteria tend to grow on the hair shaft in your underarms and this causes your underarms to smell even more. Shave, wax, or use hair removal cream and get rid of your underarm hair to minimize the smell plus it will stop excessive sweating. Start applying benzoyl peroxide gel to the area after your bath on a daily basis to get rid of the bacteria and stop armpit odor.

5. Use Lemon:

Lemon is one of the finest remedies which effectively kill bacteria. Cut a fresh lemon into two halves and rub one-half of the lemon on underarms and allow the juice to stick to your skin. Then take a shower after letting it dry for some time. Doing this once, every day will consequently reduce your body odor.

What To Do For Sweaty Palms And Feet?

Most people experience sweaty palms during stressful situations, anxious moments, high temperatures, or physical exertion.

Antiperspirant for hands and palms is the easiest proven way to control sweating. Antiperspirants work by plugging and shrinking your sweat pores. As a result, you’ll sweat less wherever you apply antiperspirant. Dab a pea-sized amount of hand antiperspirant on your DRY palms, rub it in and let it dry for 3-5 minutes.

Alcohol-Based Hand Wipes are also a great option. If you don’t want to use antiperspirant, try using alcohol-based hand wipes. Alcohol is an astringent that, when applied topically, can help keep your hands temporarily dry with its pore-shrinking abilities. Also, sweaty feet are an issue. If you want your feet to NOT smell bad you should follow the below steps.

Wearing socks before wearing covered shoes is the commonest way to solve this problem. Socks, especially those made from sweat-wicking materials, can absorb sweat and reduce odors. A person can also switch out their shoe insoles with odor-reducing or antibacterial insoles.

Another option is to purchase an antibacterial or disinfectant spray to use on the insoles. However, this option is not usually as effective as allowing the insoles of the shoes to dry out fully. These were our take on solving excessive sweat issues in teens to adults.
